In the context of the long-term project « Maths en Jeans », chosen students of our school with special interest in the fields of mathematics, interchanged (- first online, then personally and physically in Turkey) research procedures and results as well as new learning skills and competences with 3 other High Schools (from Budapest, Zürich, Istanbul) and met in Turkey during the congress organized by the Istanbul High School ( Lycee Francais Pierre-Loti Tarabya).During the conference the students presented, compared and discussed their results of their research in different fields of maths that they had worked on beforehand. They got to know the different approaches and collaborated and interacted during the conference with international students from 4 different countries. The whole project is part of a French scientific programme enabling and motivating students of different ages (!) in Europe to approach questions in the fields mentioned above, bringing young people together digitally and personally (videoconferences and real meetings in one country hosting once a year). All in all, they took part in blended acivities (online meetings 3 times over the period) and meetings in presence during the conference in Turkey. At the conference they also had the chance to meet reknown (adult) researchers who presented their insights as stimulation of the students (presentations by mathematicians Ali Nesin, Irem Portakal and Jean Baptiste Aubin on the topics of geometry, algebra among others. Additionally the could profit from cultural insights visiting sites in Turkey together with their peers and teachers, indulge in leisure activities such as interactive games, chess, music and dance eveneings in order to establish long-lasting contacts and friendships with students from different countries with similar interests. The project trip was partly financed by our ERASMUS+ programme accreditation
